CAPT.LEONIL VALENCIA 

QHSsE 
Manager

A dedicated, loyal, and honest team player.

Worked on board ships, bulk carriers and tankers, from Apprentice Deck Officer, OS, AB, and to 3rd Officer up to Master from 1977 to 2000. Worked as Quality Assurance Manager at Belships Management (S) Pte Ltd from 2001 to 2011. Return to sea as Master on Containerships from 2012 to 2014.

Capt. Valencia joined Central in 2015.

SAURABH

KUMAR

TECHNICAL

SUPERINTENDENT

A professional, go-getter and visionary team player.

Saurabh's background is in technical, operations, resource management, and business development. Having vast experience of sailing & managing gas carriers, oil tankers & bulk carriers, he has 14+ years of experience in the marine industry. Saurabh's career started with Exmar Ship management, worked & rose to Chief Engineer over the years. 

Saurabh joined Central in 2020.

MANAGER

A loyal, hard-working, and reliable team player.

Michael worked at DNV for 35 years before joining Central. In his current capacity, he supervises the administrative team members and ensures that daily office operations are performed in a seamless and efficient manner. He is responsible for strategizing and negotiating with suppliers and vendors, in order to acquire the most cost-effective deals and to reduce procurement expenses. 

Michael joined Central in 2014.

AJAY 

KUMAR SREEKUMAR

FINANCE

An ambitious, hardworking and faithful team player 

Ajay has more than 23 years of work experience in accounting and administration. His background is diverse, worked in various sectors, such as construction and manufacturing. Ajay felt compelled to shift his focus toward the shipping world. In 2006, he took a job at Emarat Maritime. This was a highlight in his career, as he began to grow a deeper understanding of ship management and the necessary skills required to manage effectively the accounting aspect of Ship Management software – Shipnet. 

 

Ajay joined Central in 2014. 

AREAS OF FOCUS
  • Ensuring smooth sailing of day to day Financial activities there by supporting the Operations Dept

  • Ensuring hasle free banking activities and managing cash flow.

  • Coordinating the purchase department and technical thereby ensuring prompt payment of purchase invoices.

  • Preparation and supervision of Vessel Owners reports and ensure timely reporting

NIDHIN 

VIJAYAN

ACCOUNTANT ASSISTANT

An honest, ethical and flexible team player.

 

Nidhin's background is in commerce. He expanded his skills by completing a three year article ship training from Chartered Accountant, with PK Thomas and Associates. During his studies, he was exposed to a diverse pool of sectors, such as banking, insurance and trading. The experience helped him build a strong knowledge base and skill-set to review accounts with accuracy, in order to follow the rules of accounts. 

 

Shortly after, he found a position as an Accounting Associate for Conduent INC, where he expanded his experience further with a global team. In his current role, Nidhin has seen himself grow even more, as he applies all the areas of accounting, giving him the ability to process and submit reports on time. 

Nidhin joined Central in 2019.

SUMESH 
KUMAR

SENIOR
Senior purchasing
CLERK

A diligent, honest and innovative team player.

 

Sumesh’s background in purchasing, also includes a Mechanical Engineering degree and acquired a vast pool of knowledge in supply chain management through his extensive work experience in India. Sumesh previously worked with “Synergy Marine Group” for over five years, handling supplies and logistics for gas carriers and bulk carriers.

 

In his current role as a Senior Purchasing Executive, his focus is in procurement & arranging spares, stores & provisions for our fleet. He specializes in logistics, evaluating and ensuring good quality products are being supplied to our vessels. Sumesh vast experience ensures that optimal cost & time saving solutions are executed by closely coordinating with our Technical Superintendents and Operations Manager. 

Sumesh joined Central in 2021.

  • Handles and generates Purchase orders for global clients. 

  • Supplier relationship management. 

  • Supplier sourcing, screening and payment negotiation

  • Maintains and updates list of suppliers, their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development.

  • Estimates and establishes cost parameters and budgets for purchases to meet cos-effectives needs for clients.

ARAVIND
DAS ANITH

QHSSE EXECUTIVE
 

A conscientious, motivated and creative team player. 

Arvind's background is in business, where he studied both in India and the UAE. He is specifically interested in QHSE, where he finds it intriguing when challenged by the implementation process of an operation. In his current role, he oversees and coordinates vessel documentation and paper work are in order. He ensures that all vessels are abiding by the Quality and Safety guidelines set forth by the company. 

Aravind joined Central in 2016.

AREAS OF FOCUS
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of QHSSE programs.

  • Keeping track of Vessel certificates and vessel month end reports. 

  • Maintenance of QHSSE management system 

  • To be of assistance to QHSSE manager when performing internal audits for vessel and company. 

  • Responsible for IT services both in the office and onboard the vessels.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

LAZARO
SARRIS-BONACHE
 

driven, attentive, and detail oriented team player.

Lazaros completed his bachelors in Business Administration in International Hotel Management, Marketing in Switzerland and carries 14 years of experience under his belt. His experience shaped his exceptional work ethic and his capacity to address complex issues.

 

He is both, a macro and micro thinker, with an inherent skill to think outside of the box. Throughout his career, he applied these qualities while working in global markets, cementing his well-rounded ability to manage teams with diverse backgrounds.

 

In his current role, Lazaros is part of the strategic think tank with top management and is an integral team player to streamline policies.  

Lazaros joined Central in 2020.​​

ANNA
SARRIS-BONACHE

CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT
 

passionate, creative and empathic team player.

Anna's career journey to date is filled with diverse experiences, which helped shape her ability to stay creative, adaptable, and lead with initiative in all that she sets her mind on.

 

In 2008, she completed a bachelor in Arts in Events Management, with a specialization in marketing and business, from London, UK. In 2016, she completed a Masters in Social Work, Los Angeles, US. 

 

Her global experience in various sectors such as training and development, corporate events, humanitarian work, and technology and digital transformation have all a running theme, bringing people together. In her current role at Central, she mainly  focuses on building Central's brand image and the engagement and development of personnel, in order to set Central apart from its competitors, in the shipping world.

Anna joined Central in 2020.​
